the globe, our
world is dotted by places unlike any other. During your explorations
today you need to do the following things:
- Find
each
of the places below in Google Earth (TIP: Highlight,
copy/paste the place name from the list below into the 'Search' box in
Google Earth)
- Create
a Placemark at
the location (TIP: You can drag the found place into your folder under
My Places).
- In
the 'Description'
part of the placemark you need to include the following information
(TIP: You can copy/paste the list below):
- On
what continent will
you find the place:
- In
what country will you
find the place:
- If
it is in the U.S.,
what state is it in:
- Is
it natural or man
made:
- Is
it New or Ancient:
- Link
to the best picture
you found for it:
If
you find a place that you think is really interesting and want to learn
more about it, you can try searching for it at the Fact
Monster Kid's
Almanac or The World Almanac for Kids or even
Wikipedia.
